Colourpop “Yes please!” palette – look and review

Hey there!

I’m back again with a new post and today we’re gonna talk makeup! So I recently got the Colourpop “Yes please! – Cute af” pressed shadow palette and wanted to try it out. I’ve loved Colourpop super shock shadows for a while but had never tried their pressed powders before – figured since you can basically get pressed eye shadow anywhere, there was no point in getting them shipped all the way from Los Angeles to Paris. But anyway, about a month ago, I took the plunge and decided to order it and try it out anyway… and let me tell you, it was well worth the long-distance shipping!

So starting off with the packaging, it’s actually a cute af (see what I did there?) light grey cardboard palette with bright yellow typo. It has 12 shadows, all in orange and coppery tones including one gold and one bright yellow and I freakin’ love it!

Quality wise, the shadows are really pigmented. I actually swatched all of them on my arm before trying them out on my eyes – but stupidly forgot to take a picture, what a great blogger I make! Moving on… they are really pigmented in just one swipe but still pretty easy to work with. I’m not the greatest at makeup and constantly scared of messing up but I actually had no problem with these shadows. I don’t think I crossed the “too much” limit with any of the colors and, even better, had no fallout at all!

Onto the actual look I came up with: I first used “Note to self” as a transition shade in my crease, then added some “Mischief” to my outer corner to deepen it a little, smudged “Louie” all over the crease and finished off with “Chauffeur” on the inner third and “Butter cake” in the inner corner… and did the same on the lower lash line. I have to say I am pretty happy with the result!
